In order to assist your Transport Department in the initial assessment of prospective driver applicants and own driver employees, PROMARI DRIVING SCHOOL has instituted a series of evaluation tests to determine the actual standard and capability of drivers not shown on a driver’s license.
This consists of the following:
EYESIGHT SCREENING
This determines blurred or double vision, clarity of vision and color perception
from near and far, with or without glasses.
VALIDITY OF DRIVER’S LICENCE
Confirm validity of driver’s licenses with the Department of Transport, Gauteng.
MANEUVERING SKILL
Special exercises to determine the driver’s ability at reversing either articulated
or rigid type vehicle, light to extra heavy, in confined spaces.
DRIVING SKILL
Basic assessment of his/her personality, self-control, self-discipline, attitude
towards road users, sympathy to company vehicle, maturity, etc.The practical driving evaluation shows up any latent bad habits, driving faults and related
matter such as gear changing, road observation, use of speed, proper use of steering, clutch, brakes and exhaust brake.
PRELIMINARY REPORT
An overall composite report will be forwarded immediately to your Transport
Department with a recommendation for employment or training in the System
of vehicle control (Defensive vehicle driving).
